As you’re probably aware by now, delta 8 THC has been making quite a lot of noise in the cannabis industry. The cannabinoid — which is a structural variation of “traditional” delta 9 THC — offers a subdued, mild high compared to its potent cousin. And given the legal gray area in which the compound currently exists (more on that later), many companies are quickly coming out with delta 8 products to try and get in on the trend while it’s there.
Naturally, this has caused an abundance of delta 8 products, many of which do nothing at all in terms of effects. To try and get to the bottom of things, I went out and actually tried a bunch of different d8 products. The following three are ones that, in my opinion, actually work and offer an authentic delta 8 experience.

Let me first start by describing the effects you can expect to feel when using delta 8. I experienced a noticeable high, but it was much milder compared to a traditional marijuana high. I remained totally in control, while still experiencing the effects of euphoria across both body and mind.
Honestly, it is a very enjoyable sensation and one that I highly recommend — especially for individuals that enjoy the therapeutic effects of “regular” cannabis but find that the high is too potent or overly stimulating.
Without further ado, here were by far my favorite products that I tried.
1. Premium Jane 625mg Delta 8 Gummies
This is probably my favorite all-around delta 8 product that I’ve tried, and actually, I would recommend starting out with half of a gummy at first, rather than a whole one. Not that the effects are too overwhelming, but you’ll want to gauge how your body responds first before consuming a maximum dose.
These come in a few different flavor options, so you’ll want to check out their options and see which one is up your alley. My favorite ones were the Birthday Cake flavor.
2. PureKana 1200mg Delta 8 Oil Tincture
In terms of potency, this was definitely the strongest delta 8 product I’ve tried. It’s an oil tincture, meaning you use the dropper cap inside the bottle and squeeze out a full dose under your tongue, hold for 60 seconds, and then swallow. Again, I would start out here with half of a dose (half a dropper) at first, before you see what the effects are for you personally.
You’ll probably notice that the effects of oils are a little faster-acting than that of gummies and other edibles, so if you’re looking for something super strong and relatively fast-acting, this would be a great option to look into.
3. Georgia Hemp Company Delta 8 Sweet Tarts
I’ll admit these Sweet Tarts are a little gimmicky, but man, are they delicious. They’re also super cheap, so if you’re not wanting to spend a ton of money, they’d be a fun option for your very first go-around. That being said, don’t expect the same effects in terms of a high as you’d get with the PureKana or Premium Jane products.
Summary of the Best Delta 8 Products
Just because delta 8 is becoming more and more popular, don’t go down the street to the very first headshop you come across and buy the first product you see. The market is still very much in its infancy, and illegitimate brands are popping up everywhere trying to make a quick buck on the new trend.
Stick with the reputable brands (i.e. PureKana, Premium Jane) that have been around for years, and you should be able to enjoy a pure, authentic delta 8 experience. Only then will you be able to see what all the hype and attention is about.
