It’s time for the eighth Zodiac sign to burst in and take some names. Here’s how to survive.

What is Scorpio Season?

Western astrology is described as a form of divination that is based on one’s birth placement, which is connected to the influence of various cosmic bodies, such as the sun and the planets of the solar system. The Scorpio is the eighth zodiac sign in Western astrology. Its symbol is the scorpion and its ruling planets are Mars and Pluto. Mars, in astrology, is the planet of aggression and desire while Pluto symbolizes transformation, growth and rebirth. Thus, Scorpios are known to be intense people with strong personalities. The stereotypical Scorpio possesses traits of being dark, sexual, sultry, intense and mysterious. These traits can be seen in well-known Scorpios, such as Drake, Hillary Clinton and Kris Jenner.

When Scorpio season occurs from Oct. 23 to Nov. 22, all zodiac signs are supposedly influenced by their typical traits. According to Erika W. Smith of Refinery 29, all zodiac signs will “embrace a darker undertone” because the energy of the sun will move toward the sign of Scorpio. During this time, all zodiac signs encounter darkness, kinkiness, mystery and complex emotions. This article is a guide that provides the essential tips needed to survive Scorpio season.

Scorpios Embracing their Scorpio Side

For the people born during Scorpio season, it’s your time to shine. They will embrace their incarnations. According to Western astrology and the movements of the sun, a Scorpio could finally unleash its scorpion sting and exact venom, in which needed revenge is carried out. In addition to that, a Scorpio could rise from the ashes like a Phoenix to embrace the full depths of their intensity.

Paranoia

Along with the sun being in Scorpio season, a Mercury retrograde in Scorpio took place on Halloween. According to astrologists, a Mercury retrograde is a planetary event that indicates shifts and changes in the movements of the planets. This major event correlates with changes in human behavior. This season, a shift into a Mercury retrograde under Scorpio indicates an increase in all signs harboring suspicion. As Scorpios are natural detectives who have excellent intuition, this season is marked by an uncovering of information and exposure of the truth. Such revelations could lead to a breakdown in trust and a rise in paranoia. During this season, all signs should trust their intuition and tread lightly.

Rebirth

The Scorpio sign itself is represented by the death card in tarot. As scary as death sounds, one could interpret it as the end of something and the beginning of something new. Because of Scorpio’s association with death, Scorpio season could mark the death of something toxic and unhealthy, while indicating that a dramatic change is about to take place. However, take inspiration from the fearlessness of Scorpios themselves to confront these challenges head on. For one to survive Scorpio season, it’s best to let go of the past and to embrace new milestones and transformations in life.

Sex

Since Scorpios are associated with strong sexual energy, take time to indulge in the pleasure. All zodiac signs should not feel guilty about chasing pleasure. The energy in the atmosphere dictates an acceptance of one’s kinkiness and sexual desire. This, coupled with the notion that it is cuffing season, indicates that fall and winter are the seasons where there is an acceptance of lovely and lustful passion. However, as The Cut interprets it, the season does not have to be solely about sex itself, rather, it could encourage heightened bouts of intimacy and intensity regarding personal and immediate connections to the world.

It’s important to point out that astrology is not a scientifically-proven concept. It’s a phenomenon that may focus too much on generalizations of personalities and might not be applicable on a case-by-case basis. Scorpio season could be seen as a myth in its own right. However, for those that are truly convinced by the effects of Scorpio season, it does not have to be so scary as long as there’s an understanding of its implications and one is adopting the necessary measures needed to conquer it.
