In Season 15 of “The Bachelorette,” Hannah Brown set out on a journey for love. She got engaged to Jed Wyatt, an up-and-coming musician, at the end of her season, and the two set off on their happily ever after. However, one People Magazine article turned Brown’s dream into a nightmare.
It was revealed that Wyatt had a girlfriend back home, who was waiting for him while he filmed the show. Once the news broke, Brown announced that she would be breaking off her engagement with Wyatt. Since then, the two have been working on their own projects and are no longer seeing each other.
Hannah Brown, former Miss Alabama, has not taken a break since leaving “The Bachelorette.” She announced that she would be going on ABC’s 28th season of “Dancing with the Stars.” While this might have come as a shock to many, Brown has a very strong dancing background. When she performed in pageants, she would often perform dance routines for the talent portion.
However, she has never done professional dance. Brown and her partner, Alan Bersten, took the “DWTS” stage by storm and worked extremely hard in the 11-week competition. And while Brown does have a dancing background, she wasn’t fully prepared for everything that “Dancing with the Stars” entailed. In an Instagram post, Brown opened up about her insecurities and doubts about herself that she had during the show.
She stated, “Everyday has brought its challenges with my past, my fears and the uncomfortableness of opening myself up again to be judged on something very scary like learning a new skill to perform each week.”
Brown hasn’t had an easy time adjusting to everything post-“Bachelorette” and starting the show soon after ending her engagement took a toll on her. However, she pushed through everything and persevered until the end of the show. In the end, it was definitely worth it.
In the final four, the team scored a 28/30 in their Repeat Dance section for their Viennese qaltz to Taylor Swift’s “Lover.” For their final dance, Brown and Bersten did a freestyle to “Girl on Fire” from Alicia Keys mashed up with “Hollaback Girl” from Gwen Stefani. They scored a 30/30, which was the first time Brown had scored a perfect score.
With a total score of 58/60, Brown was the winner of the show. Brown has grown a lot since the beginning of the show, and it truly shows in her performances. She worked hard and kept her head up when she fell down, which is one of the characteristics that fans love.
As far as Brown’s dating life goes, she tried to reconcile her relationship with Tyler Cameron, who was one of the finalists. The two were spotted a few times after leaving the show, but the story dies there. As far as the public knows, the two aren’t seeing each other anymore.
In an Instagram post, Brown opened up about what it has been like since ending the engagement. She states that she “doesn’t need a man,” but would like someone by her side in the future. Since filming the show, she dedicated all of her time and energy toward her performances. Now that the show is over, it is speculated that Brown may be returning to the “Bachelor” world, seeing as she was featured in a promo for the upcoming season of “The Bachelor.” The bachelor, Peter Weber, was from Brown’s season and made it to the final three but was eliminated.
The other half of the couple continues to pursue his music career, we think. Jed Wyatt is a singer-songwriter that won the hearts of many with his music on the show. In the midst of his cheating scandal, it was revealed that Wyatt had originally come on “The Bachelorette” to promote his music rather than finding love. With all the effort he put in to get his music career off the ground, it’s quite surprising that he hasn’t put out any new music since his appearance on the show.
While he did receive a lot of negative attention in the aftermath of the show, he still did manage to gain a lot of new followers on social media. Given his massive increase in followers, now would be a good time to put out music, but the singer hasn’t released anything since 2018.
He performed at a show with iHeartRadio in early September, but that is as far as his musical performances go. He did make appearances on a few podcasts and did some interviews with magazines about his experience on “The Bachelorette.” Aside from music, Wyatt allegedly began working at his old job at a club in Nashville. He’s also had a few brand deals here and there.
Wyatt’s love life has not been easy post-“Bachelorette.” Brown ended their engagement and Haley Stevens, Wyatt’s ex-girlfriend, are over as well. He told Us Weekly that he was in a really low spot after everything happened and that all he wanted to do was be alone.
He stated, “With how crazy everything was, it was honestly kind of hard for me.” However things do seem to be looking up for him. Over Thanksgiving, he posted a picture with his now girlfriend, Ellen Decker, confirming that he has moved on from the show. The two went to Miami on vacation together and both appear to be happy. Both Wyatt and Decker posted on their socials about their relationship and shared pictures of their vacation.
As far as the public knows, Brown and Wyatt haven’t spoken to each other since the breakup. Both reality stars are doing their own thing today, and it is clear that both of them are happy. The two went through a very public breakup. They handled the situation differently, but they both grew and learned valuable lessons from it.
