College life is exciting and full of fun. This is the first time in your life that you can enjoy absolute freedom away from your strict parents and judgmental relatives. It is a time that you become the master of your own destiny.

Most importantly, your time as a student gives you a perfect platform to manage your finances. And this is where everything else comes in, including your spending power.

With money in your pockets, you can do virtually everything, especially in your free time. From partying to shopping all the way to entertainment, your money is the determining factor.

So, what happens when you run out of cash? Do you just sit back and reminisce about your glorious past? Or do you go around begging for money from your friends to keep yourself entertained?

Below are nine forms of entertainment that you can engage in when your money runs out — once the quarantine is over, of course.

1. Take Advantage of Free Events At College

There are numerous events taking place on campus throughout the week, with the best ones typically on weekends. As such, you may take advantage of those events to keep yourself entertained regardless of your financial status. Events such as concerts, shows, live music, sports and lectures are usually free of charge for students. All you need to do is to avail yourself at the right venue and everything else will fall in place.

2. Take Part in a Lottery

With the presence of smartphones and high-speed internet, there is a lot more that you can do to brighten your mood. In this case, you can use your phone to access hundreds of betting sites in order to try out your luck.

Just enter the lottery and hope to win. If luck is on your side, you may come out richer than before. Besides, taking part in a lottery will keep your mind occupied when you are out of class. Most importantly, it is absolutely free to participate in such activities.

3. Spend Your Free Time in Your Campus Gym

There is a need for you to stay fit and healthy while in college. In this regard, your campus gym will keep you not only fit but entertained as well.

Most colleges have great gym facilities for students. Take advantage of that privilege and tone your body to look good while keeping yourself entertained.

4. Cut Cable Expenses and Watch Online

Cable TV is an unnecessary expense at this time when there is plenty of entertainment online. For that reason, cut down cable expenses and focus more on watching your favorite shows online.

With options such as Netflix, Amazon and Hulu at your disposal, you will keep yourself occupied without spending a dime.

5. Engage in a Free Hobby

Starting a free hobby is another form of entertainment when you run out of money. There are countless activities and hobbies that you can start to keep yourself busy and entertained as well. Most of these activities are free and easy to start.

6. Find a Way To Make Some Money

How about starting a side hustle in college? It is possible to get paid rather than you paying to have fun.

As a matter of fact, it will not cost you a lot of money to start a hobby, even if it takes time. The urge and thrill to make your own money is a great motivator, even aside from the desire to stay busy after class.

7. Become a Volunteer

You can stay entertained by volunteering for the many different activities available on campus. Many options exist on campus today and you can easily take part in any of them.

These options include national organizations and small local charities among others. Not only will you be contributing to a noble cause, but you will also be gaining skills for your future endeavors.

8. Visit Your Campus Library

You can use your campus library as your entertainment zone. You can read books, magazines and journals or you can check out a few DVDs to keep yourself entertained. Campus libraries have a lot of interesting things that can help you pass the time.

9. Become The Entertainment

This is not for everyone of course. But if you have what it takes to entertain, then you can put on a nice show to keep others engaged.

In this case, you could play an instrument, join a theater group or even practice standup comedy. All these activities need courage, talent and hours of practice if you want to entertain others.

Final Thoughts

Basically, these nine activities can keep you entertained when you don’t have money in college. In the long run, you will find your stay on campus to be stress-free even and quite fulfilling. The only thing you need to do is to find out where and when those activities are taking place.
