Conversationists Vivian Sam and Matt Rader Are Restabilizing the Las Vegas Area12 UNLV Biology student volunteers collaborated with the Nevada Naturalist Program, National Park Service, and California Fire Science Consortium to plant 630 native trees and grasses along the Las Vegas Wash, in Lake Mead National Recreation Area, southern Nevada. The intent was to enhance habitat for pollinators and wildlife along the Las Vegas Wash area that used to be submerged beneath Lake Mead before the drought.
