It’s Halloween time, and Netflix is certainly getting into the spooky spirit of the season with many of the new releases that will come to the streaming service in October. Classic horror film “The Shining” and 2017’s “Truth or Dare” starring Lucy Hale will both be released on Netflix in early-October. But Netflix is also releasing its own horror-filled entertainment, with a series of original movies and television series debuting next month, including the dark remake of “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” now titled “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.”
Although horror takes center stage this month, a lot of great comedy is also making its way onto Netflix. The second season of acclaimed adult comedy series “Big Mouth” will be released on Oct. 5; a series of stand-up comedy specials also will be aired throughout the month featuring performers like Joe Rogan, Kevin Hart and Adam Sandler. Riz Ahmed will also host a political comedy special airing every Sunday.
Other highlights include: “The Green Mile,” “Schitt’s Creek” Season 4, “Making a Murderer: Part 2” and Marvel’s “Daredevil” Season 3.
